The charges range from Dh1,000 to Dh12,000, depending on the package
Masdar City is providing new business packages with license fees ranging from Dh1,000 to Dh12,000 in order to recruit additional companies and assist current businesses in its free zone.
Masdar said on Monday that companies will be offering three packages as well as several visas.
“With the recent government notice to ease the business environment, Abu Dhabi’s position as an attractive global hub that promotes economic diversification, empowers global talent and supports the emirate’s sustainable development is further reinforced,” said Abdulla Balalaa, executive director of Masdar City.
Packages A, B, and C have license costs of Dh1,000, Dh7,000, and Dh12,000, respectively. Masdar City will provide one visa as part of Package B and two as part of Package C.
As it prepares for the next 50 years of economic growth, Abu Dhabi has announced various steps to increase the ease of doing business and its worldwide competitiveness.
In July, the emirate reduced business registration costs by 94% to Dh1,000 in an effort to attract more businesses and promote foreign direct investment.
The new price structure will cover all fees from Abu Dhabi government agencies and will apply to six activities covered by company licenses.
The price for renewing a license has also been cut to Dh1,000, although federal fees will continue to apply, according to the economic department at the time.
Masdar City is located at the crossroads of the Middle East and Asia's developing markets, and it is seamlessly connected to a robust logistics and transportation network. Masdar City, located in a significant development region of Abu Dhabi, is a prominent location for international business, with close connectivity to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
