Now it will be easier and quicker to set up a business in Abu Dhabi, due to the changes presented by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED).
The ‘Investor Journey Programme’, part of ADDED, has cooperated with more than 20 government entities and the private sector to achieve a reduction of 71 percent in requirements across all activities, after a special task force launched in April 2021.
The Abu Dhabi government made all of the required reforms to eliminate redundant regulations and make the process of starting a new business in UAE as simple as possible.
Over 93 percent of economic activities can now receive a commercial licence in just 6 minutes.
ADDED launched the Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO) in early July to attract talent and deliver services to help Abu Dhabi maintain its status as a desirable place to live, work, and flourish.
All license issuing and renewal fees for Abu Dhabi government entities were dropped to Dh1,000 only last week, according to ADDED.
These modifications were made to improve UAE Free Zone and boost the private sector.
Al Qubaisi noted that ADDED is working with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA) to create and strengthen commercial licencing services on TAMM, which would serve as an integrated one-stop shop for all services needed to launch a new business.
