UAE eases travel restrictions for residents from six countries including India and Pakistan

General Civil Aviation Authority and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority announced changes starting with 5 August

Due to the latest travel update issued by the UAE authorities some countries including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda, will have access to the UAE Free Zone. Fully vaccinated people and even unvaccinated persons from certain categories will be allowed to travel to UAE as reported by Arabian Business.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced the adjustment on Tuesday, and it will take effect on August 5th.

Until now, because of the rising of Covid-19 infection rates, flights to the UAE from the six countries were previously cancelled, but now if you are vaccinated and you have a valid UAE residence visa you may enter the UAE Zone. All you have to do is to demonstrate that you had your second dose at least 14 days before, by holding a valid certificate emitted by the official authorities from those countries.

Exceptions for the unvaccinated category: medical workers, teachers at schools and universities in the UAE, students, residents with extenuating circumstances, people undergoing medical treatment in the UAE and people who work for federal or local government agencies.

Those who want to return in the UAE have to apply for permission on Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship’s website.

UAE announced the current relaxations for the six nations in its most recent travel update, adding that qualifying passengers will be able to transit through the UAE solely from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, South Africa, Vietnam, and Zambia.

Do not forget that you have to present a PCR test taken 72 hours prior to be able to enter the country.

Now, if you are from one of these countries and want to set up your business in UAE, you can travel freely under the above mentioned circumstances.
